Carrie Heller, MSW, LCSW, RPT is a Professional Trapeze Artist, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and a Registered Play Therapist. Over the past 3 decades, she has trained countless students and teachers using this manual. Carrie began teaching Circus Arts in Atlanta in 1988, which evolved into Atlanta's first Circus Arts School. In 1989 she became the Director of Clinical Services at the Bridge; it was at this juncture that Carrie began to see the benefits of Circus Arts in therapy. In 1993 she founded the popular Atlanta Circus Camp and in 2006 the Circus Arts Institute. At the Circus Arts Institute, Carrie teaches Circus Arts Fitness as well as Circus Arts Therapy.
