LEVEL 3: LEARNING OBJECTIVES

​Circus Arts Therapy®: Application of Therapeutic Work
By the end of the Application Sessions, Learners should be able to:
  • identify multiple strategies to help children with ADD & ADHD for both inside and outside of the Circus Arts fitness and play therapy room
  • identify three sensory-based play strategies
  • identify three of the Executive Functions and corresponding strategies for weaknesses
  • explain how clients with Sensory differences can benefit from Circus Arts Therapy®
  • identify 3 tools for empowerment and the application of each
  • list 3 differences between ADHD and Anxiety
  • list 3 differences between ADHD and Sensory Processing Issues
  • explain techniques to assist with Emotional and Physical and Mental dysregulation
  • understand how screen time effects students and clients and the recommended viewing time
  • teach a student or client or group a new set of skills incorporating the use of therapeutic language

Application of Level 2 Ground Training
By the end of Level 2 Ground Training, Learners should be able to:

  • apply the objectives outlined in the Adaptive Ground Methodology to CAI and your own skill progressions
  • apply the objectives of ‘grading’ apparatus, skills, spotting and lesson plans for Adaptive ground work, including knowing when your student or client is ready to ‘level up’
  • identify the specific differences between working with neurotypical versus neurodiverse or physically diverse populations on the ground
  • how to create and modify both the CAI skill progressions as well as your own skill progressions when working with neurotypical versus neurodiverse or physically diverse populations
  • use therapeutic language while demonstrating, teaching and spotting all level 1 and level 2 ground skills
