If you are new to CAI, we do require an intake interview as we find that some children do best at CASS with a one-on-one shadow which must be determined before camp so that the experience is a positive and fun one for your child. Traditionally, children are more comfortable coming to CASS if they have seen the space first and have had a chance to try the equipment one on one.  Because I require this intake, I offer a special rate for CASS participants.  I offer a 30 minute intake for $60 or you may do a standard intake of 45 minutes for $125 if you prefer your child spend more time here one-on-one before camp begins.

What is Circus Arts Social Summer?

Circus Arts Social Summer (CASS) provides a chance for participants to learn exciting circus skills. This happens in a FUN and cooperative environment while focusing on community building, teamwork and safety.

All programs are under the direction of adult circus stars and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker - we will work with both the physical and social aspects of timing; not only of when to do a trick, but also when to speak and when to listen. Through this form of movement we work on balance, strength, coordination and flexibility.

Every child can be a Circus Star for the week!

Who Is the Circus Arts Social Summer Program Designed for?

The CASS program has been specifically designed, using Carrie Heller's approach and methodology, for children ages 5 to 12 with special needs, including learning differences and their siblings (this is an inclusive program).

This program is for children who like to stimulate their imagination and creativity in a playful, social setting.
CASS provides a place for the child who has trouble in large groups and might require a high staff to student ratio.
Participants may be going through a rough time in their lives and need extra attention or they may be withdrawn and difficult to engage in conversation and activities.

Learning these fun and unique circus skills, your camper will experience "THERAPY IN ACTION."

CASS will include specific activities to encourage and enhance:

  • Bilateral coordination skills
  • Muscle strength, including core muscles
  • Crossing the midline abilities
  • Brain and body balancing
  • Self esteem
  • Teamwork
  • Ability to overcome fears
  • Communication with peers
  • Balance, flexibility & coordination
  • Focus and attention
